Regular Members

Each person, interested in sports (new walking) can become member of ENWO. The only basis for considering that is the membership in an official registrated sport association / federation in an European country, which is already member of ENWO and accepts its  statues.

 Associate members

Entities, associations, persons who adhere to the statutes of the ENWO, support the aims, philosophy of the association in any way and are legally registered in Europe. However, they do not have voting rights.

Zveza za nordijsko hojo in rekreacijo Slovenije (ZNHS) was founded in 2007. It was lead by its then-president Andrej Švent, who started with Nordic Walking in Slovenia already in 2003. In 2011 it came to a renaming into ZVEZA ZA NORDIJSKO HOJO SLOVENIJE, which is lead by president Janez Lipec. ZNHS is a member of world non-governmential organization of sport for everybody (TAFISA), supported and recognized by the International Olympic Comittee, World health organization WHO and is since 2016 a member of international Zveza ENWO. In the time since Zveza ZNHS has operated, there were around 400 qualified instructors of nordic walking, which taught nordic walking using the system »INWA 10 steps« to around 10.000 Slovenes. Since 2015 on most of the active instructors and guides did education process with SZS (Slovenian skiing association) and hold the slovenian license. As an instructor of nordic walking and running U 2 they can independently hold classes of nordic walking and running. Purpose ZNHS Promoting physical activity among people and with that contributing to development of nordic walking and recreation in Republic of Slovenia, with following tasks: •taking care of enforcing professional work in bodies of ZNHS and members; •promotes sports recreation, with the goal of keeping up and building the health among people, which we see as a good and active use of free time; •develops and strenghtens contacts with sports assocations and organizations within Slovenia and abroad.
